It's Poetry Month!

Well, National Poetry Month.

There are people who are writing a poem a day for the entire month. There are numerous events going on too, like, chapbook challenges and contests, poetry contests, 30 day poetry challenges.

What am I going to do for this month? For this National not so recognized writing genre? There are local poetry slams happening via Zoom I might hop on and participate. I use to go to the Poetry slams before Covid. When the virus hit, the world stood still and such events were not as common.

I'm thinking of writing poems this month. I'm not going to say there'll be a new poem everyday, but I will do my very best on dishing out new poems. Heck! I might even be able to get my chapbook done and up on Amazon Kindle.

Like I said it's not a promise that I'll have a new poem up everyday, but it's more of a motivation to get back into writing.
