From the stage to paper, I have chosen my best Poetry Slam poems based on an Indigenous theme. There are 15 poems total, which may be smaller than my previous book, Shi Ma' (My Moms), but it does not lack a voice. Just as the cover says, so is the theme. For so long I have kept my mouth shut and unheard. I feel now that this is the time to bring out my voice and let it be heard. The poems range from domestic to political poetry. Be prepared to go through a roller coaster of emotions in this book.
