Hello Old friend

A post dedicated to my gaming console.

The Song that played when I started this post:

When I first moved down to Phoenix to go to school, one of my first thoughts was "I can finally play my games without my mom commenting about how un-Christian like the games are."

My games are RPGs, fighting, and like a couple of FPS (first person shooter) games: COD and Battlefield. My RPGs are dark fantasy: Devil May Cry. As I was saying, I've always wanted to play the games that I couldn't play growing up or play with when I was with my ex. I saw this chance as a way to heal my inner child and enjoy them.

To be cliche I'm going to say that gaming has been one of those mechanisms that have helped me cope with life. There are times when I had no way of releasing my emotions properly, and gaming has helped me with that and let me escape into a world where I can temporarily forget about my problems.

I did play some but not as much as I wanted to during the school year. And I am just now getting back into gaming, playing Call of Duty with my boyfriend and restarting Devil May Cry.

I have to say that it feels like hanging out with an old friend and picking up where we had left off after not seeing each other in 2 years or more. It's a type of joy, a release of dopamine that comes with gaming.

The stories, the side quests, the characters and everything else that comes with the game. Without a console, I wouldn't have been able to play the games I've been playing. I do have a lot to catch up on, and it's something that I don't mind putting the time in.

Ever since I started playing with my boyfriend and our friends I enjoy playing FPS games. Even though there are bugs in the game, I still find myself playing the game when our squad or duo gets together.

RPGs are a comfort zone to me: Final Fantasy, Immortal Fenix, Devil May Dry. These types of games bring me comfort and tend to be my creative inspirations for poems and short stories. Music from a good game also drives that inspiration.

Gamers of all levels can relate to what I'm saying.

To be honest, if it wasn't for my brothers I wouldn't have been introduced to the gaming world. I thank them for that. They have introduced me to a world of such wonder and excitement.

This is where I end my post.

Keep the fire of creativity burning.

Outspoken Indigenous

Vivian
