Contests

So far I have entered 2 writing contests. One is the Button Poetry Chapbook contest and I'm waiting on the results for that one still. They said that they look at each of the entries that has been submitted carefully, which leads them to not to have a definite date for them to post the winner(s).

The Prize for Button is $500 honorary, 50 published book, all paid trip to the event to read a poem your book.

The other contest is hosted by Little Infinite. The winner is decided by how many votes the poet gets by social media via Twitter and Facebook. The winner gets a gift card to Barnes and Nobles and a their poem published on their site. The winners will be announced on Feb. 3rd.

There are other contests that I am looking into as well, one for short story and a Poet society that offers multiple contests.

Doing all this makes me nervous, because I really haven't sent my work out to anything like this.
