Trying something New. . . soon.

As Valentines Day approaches, I can't help but want to try something new. Something that I haven't done yet, and that is to make my own candy, lollipops and molded melted candies. Now, I usually try to do something for all my friends and family for each holiday, even it's something as small like a store bought card.
So it's going to be no different this year.
I will be making small treat bags for my coworkers who deserve all the love in the world.
On a side note, my boyfriend asked me if I liked working where I am at. And that I should find another job since they're working me to the bone.
That's what he sees.
I see a place where each person looks after each other regardless of age, ethnicity and what not. We always ask if one needs help, always backing each other up on a common issue. We understand each other, even though we sometimes feel like we don't feel like it.
To me, a work place like that is very valuable, especially in a hospitality environment. We do our very best and that's what counts, right?
So back to the candies. This year, I want to make cupcakes and homemade candy with a store bought card. Of course I am detailed oriented on these sort of things, that means these candies will be the "holiday colors": pink, purple and red. My goal is to have them heart shaped as well.
I read online that making your own candy takes a lot of patience, so I am going to mentally prepare myself. Lol.
Wait! I think I have mentally prepared myself. . . .and that is waiting a long time for something that is not going to happen. Haha. A ring on my finger.
But, Yes this is the something new, homemade candy. I have a lot of research to do. I'll post a blog with results next month. Until then keep your passions and love alive. Peace!
