Continuation of Treat Bags

In part to the previous post about making treat bags for my co-workers. Below is a pic of what I started:

My co-workers Chrismas treat bags.

There's not much in it, just a candy cane, lollipop, chocolate covered marshmallow candy and 2 sugar cookies, with a Christmas card.

Now, I want to make soft sugar cookies. I've always wanted to make soft ones, but every time I try to make sugar cookies they come out hard. I started looking online for different soft sugar cookie recipes. I found 2 that seem to be interesting to try, one being from food network and one from a website of a mother(I think). Fingers crossed that they yield good cookies.

Pictures will be posted. Now these recipes have similar ingredients, flour and granulated sugar, and there a few differences.

For instance. the resting time in the fridge is 30 minutes for one, and the other calls for an hour. One combines the wet ingredients in a different bowl and the other has all the ingredients in one bowl.

Oh and the baking times are different too less than 10 for one, and the other up to 16 minutes.

I am curious as to what the outcome will be. I'll post links to the recipes later and results in a new post.

I am so excited to try these out,
