2 recipes and too little time.

Like I promised I am posting about the two sugar cookie recipes that I am trying out today.

Here are the two recipes that I used. I cut the recipes in half because I am testing them.

I started with the top recipe first, and followed the measurements and instructions on the website.

I made the dough:

The instructions were to mix the dry and wet ingredients separately, then combine them. After that, they said to pre-roll the dough into balls and chill it for 30 minutes, roll sugar into the balls then bake for 14-16 minutes at 350 degrees.

Like I do when I try a new recipe, I follow it to a T and see how it comes out and have peeps around me taste test it for me.

I realized when I made this dough that it was flaky and crumbly until you packed it with your hand and rolled them. I found that interesting. That was the first time that a cookie dough was in that kind of texture.

Here's a picture of them in the oven:

Here they are when they came out:

In my opinion, they did come out soft and good, but to me they were OK. LOL. All my taste testers liked it and said it needed milk, or an add on like a Hershey's kiss in the middle. It was a mild sweet taste.

RECIPE 2

OK the next one, like the other I followed the recipe to a T. The measurements and the instructions that are online.

The ingredients were the same, but the process was different.

Instead of mixing the dry and wet ingredients in different bowls, it asked to add them in one by one in the same bowl then to cover it and let it chill for 1 hour. After that, you were to roll them into balls and flatten them just a little and bake them in them in the oven for 10-11 minutes at 350 degrees.

Now these cookies, these cookies made my mouth water, Light andfluffy like sugary biscuits.

Sorry, I took this picture quick.

When I took them out I was surprised at how fluffy they were.

The final product.

I could tell the difference immediately in both texture, taste and softness.

Out of the 2 recipes, the 2nd one is my favorite and it is going to be the recipe I am going to use for my coworkers and favorite regular guests.

Because they deserve the best for always being there to cheer me up at work, and for always making sure I don't collapse from too many rooms. Lol.
