Ok this topic, this question always comes up when I meet relatives. Friends, I thank you for not asking. Lol
This question irks me to no end.
1. Being raised a Christian. What’s the golden rule? You can’t do it or carry on until you’re legally married 2. I get judged by close family if I do have kids before marriage. 3. You keep asking and I get annoyed to the point where I just don’t want to have kids.
So what does one do in this situation? I’ve been told by fam and friends that it’s your life. That it doesn’t matter what they say, it’s your life, live it.
I don’t like being judged for who I am and my choices. It’s inevitable though, right? Don’t get me wrong I like kids, I love them being around the little tykes and making them laugh.
I would looove to have some of my own, but there’s the guy and religion.
Shoot.
I’m once again in between a Rock and a hard place.
To have kids you need financial stability, the right guy and marriage (that is what is expected of me).
Financially, I can do 2 jobs and work up to a stable career. Marriage is the big thing. That’s where it ends.
Having my aunt’s and what not give me the look like I’m a bad apple for not waiting for marriage to have kids. This is my internal conflict amongst other things.
And something that I have to deal with eventually.
