But first an Update on Life

"Hello darkness my old friend."

It's been forever since I wrote in this blog. I have been writing in my personal journal. I have written some new poems and I plan on posting those soon. On other things related, a while back I lost the house key that had one of my USBs' attached to it, and that had most of my old writings on it. Sooo, that being said I am trying to figure out on how to gather my old stuff to post. That's life for you.

I have been busy at work, trying to fit 8 hours into a shift and now it's going to get easier since staff has been cut down. Although I am glad I will get a little bit more hours in the day, it's a blow to me that a new found friend has left the scene. We still stay in contact, but like my boyfriend said, "It's hard to make friends when you're an adult, but in school it was easier."

I find that true. Well at least for me. Since I work and I have obligations as a girlfriend to a secluded tribe. Not only that, it's even harder when your stepping around eggshells tying to be mindful of the other half's thoughts.

What can I say? This girl just wants to have fun again. For me that means making friends with who I can, when I can. Yes, that means guy friends too. This writer needs inspiration from outside the circle. lol.

Happiness comes in many forms. That's all I can say on that.

Other than that I plan on participating in the open mic and Poetry Slam this summer at a local bar and coffee joint, The State Bar and Fire Creek. Yes, I will be reading poetry at those places. This will be a first public reading for me. Wish me luck on this new endeavor.
