Poison

It’s a poison that we fight to this day.

A virus implanted by the Government

To destroy us,

Hoping that we become soulless beings.

Beaten down back to the earth

To see us crawl with

Begging hands

And mud-covered faces.

Wanting us to bow down to

your ways

As steel blades cuts our

Heritage

As our locks fell to the harden

Ground

where you love to find

our tears turned that precious stone

And packed by trails of murder and genocide.

Our voices barely heard

Through the whips of hatred

Wishing we would yield

To what you call Salvation.

So instead, it was the poison

That you fed us

“Fire Water” to replace

What we could not get.

This drinkable arsenic

Became dependable.

But we’re still here.

Fighting to save what you wanted to erase.
